Who says a bunch of Christian kids can’t have fun?

Certainly not the kids from Freedom Christian Academy, who had their 2010 prom Saturday night at Club LeConte in Knoxville. This is the second year that we have taken the pictures at FCA’s prom and it was a total blast.

Now you might think that hanging out with a bunch of sixth and seventh graders wouldn’t be all that much fun, but these kids are the exception to the rule. Most kids that age are too busy trying to act cool to really cut loose at a “couples” event. Not this bunch, who danced and sang and generally were a hoot for the entire 3 1/2 hours of the dance.

But they did their parents and school proud by having fun in a good way. Not problem one out of any of them. In fact, one of the Club LeConte waiters commented that he much preferred the FCA kids to the group of UT sorority girls that had “partied” until the wee hours of the previous morning.

A big shout out has to go to FCA’s Principal, Melanie Stipes and parents Sharon Jackson and Bethany Gentry, who planned and coordinated the event. They did a great job of making sure that the kids had everything they needed for a night they will remember forever.

Hopefully the images we took, a few of which we are sharing here, will help with that. Enjoy.
